Cherry Cola Smoothie Recipe, Thirsty? want to take advantage of all those fresh strawberries on sale right now, give this delicious smoothie a try! Fresh cherries a bit of cola, ice cream...ohhh yumm!
Hola Amigos! and happy weekend. I recently discovered a new fruit. Yes it's still possible at this advance age to find new things and be completely fascinated by them, lol! I discovered "Cherries"!!! You are probably saying...Cherries??? what' s the big deal...well..if you grow up in  a country with no cherries and the only way you can have them is the overly sweet ones that come in the fruit cocktail can, or the sweeter than sugar Maraschino bottled ones or cherry ice cream with a few chunks of something cherry like...you really get a horrible tasting idea of this little fruit. But, the other day at the store I just couldn't resist the temptation of getting a huge bag of this brightly colored fruit. The price was right and my hubs was willing to eat them if I didn't like them.


Wow, I was blown away! they had texture, and they were not the soggy sweet mess I was used to! I'm hooked,  they taste almost like tiny plums or hard grapes..lol..I know, weird...anyway, since I'm hooked and on my second bag already, before they were all  gone I decided to try an experiment and It worked, I'm sharing it with you today.

Cherry Cola Smoothie
1 Cup of Cola, chilled
1 Container of Cherry Yogurt (6oz), frozen
1 Cup Pitted Cherries
1 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream
1/8 Tsps Vanilla Extract

Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until everything is smooth! 

Listo,
Serves 4 (4oz cups)


It is delicious! An all in one sweet soda float, without the float! and if you want to make it even more decadent, go ahead and add more cherries and whipped cream!

  8. Delicious, fabulous, awesome... like usual. :) And i love that there's more than one cherry. I haven't had a cherry in so long I can't remember....because my kids always steal mine!!! What an easy solution, put more than one. Doh. :)
