Hola Amigos! Glad to be here a the blog today sharing  with you my first "from scratch" muffins!
You know me, I'm still yet to conquer my fear of baking sweets from scratch, the flour, the baking powder, the not over mixing, it's all a big headache for me and I tend to avoid those at any cost! But once in a while, with deep breaths and fire extinguisher at hand, I get enough courage to try something simple and safe.

Perhaps one day I'll do something more daring, for now, these muffins are just what I need.

I think I fell I little more comfortable because it was one of my mom's  easy recipes, designs for her baking impaired daughter. If something was to go wrong on the first try, I could always call her and ask for help. I know you must be thinking how could I mess up muffins...believe me I Can!
Oatmeal Banana Muffins with Flax Seeds Recipe, Easy to make and oh so sweet, this muffins are better than any store bought ones and are done in only 18 minutes! Enjoy homemade healthy goodness and butter them up! Yummm! #muffins #bananamuffins #oatmealmuffins, #flax

They have  a little extra healthy crunch with the Flax, but that's about it..I even put some glaze over because to my hubs it is not a muffin if it doesn't have glaze...that sounds more like a cupcake to me..but I'm here to please.

Oatmeal Banana Muffins with Flax Seeds Recipe, fun to make and delicious to eat, these sweet muffins take breakfast to a different lever #muffins #oatmealmuffins #bananamuffins #flax

  1. Yum these look really good. I think I will be making them as soon as I pick up some bananas and flax seed. I bet you're a great cook and the key is to not be intimidated. Sometimes things don't work out, but I bet a majority of the time they will.

  2. I love that they have both banana and oatmeal in them, makes it something I'd let my family have for breakfast. Too many muffins really are, in my estimation, more a dessert than a muffin.

    1. Hi Karen, without the glaze they are the perfect amount of sweetness with the banana and honey, but you know the hubs and his sweet tooth..he had to have the glaze, we all had them for breakfast with milk and coffee, they were good indeed, Thanks for stopping girl :)

  4. These are really healthy! When I see an item like flax seed in the store, I know I should probably be eating them, but how? It's nice to have them in a muffin recipe because, for me, muffins are easy to mix, pour, bake, and eat! Your pictures are fabulous - as always!

  13. Hi Lizbeth. I'm stopping in from Let's Get Real today. I just had to check out your baking. These muffins look awesome. I would also probably remove the glaze, but these are pretty much real food approved which makes this momma happy. I always joke with my kids that muffins are an excuse to eat cake at any time of the day. The added flax seed adds so much nutrition and I bet a nice nutty flavor.
