Eyes Of Newt Bundt Cake
Ingredients:
1 Box White Cake
1 Container (14 oz) White Icing
3 Halloween food coloring bottles (just a few drops of each)
Chocolate Eyes
Directions:
Heat your oven according to the instructions on the box. Prepare as indicated on the box.
Grease and Flour thoroughly a bundt pan. Divide your cake mix in 3 equal parts. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl containing the cake mix and mix until desired color is obtained. For example, a few drops of purple in one bowl, mix until you get the depth of color you want. Another few drops of green on another bowl mix until you get the desired depth and repeat with your last bowl of cake mix.
Pick a color and slowly pour it on your bundt pan. Take a diferent color and gently pour it on the previous. It doesn't need to be covered completely and most likely it won't which is perfect since the colors will look even better when cut. Repeat until all your batter is in the bundt.
Bake according to instructions.Once it has cooled for a couple of minutes, turn your bundt upside down on a cooling rack with a plate at the bottom.
When your cake is completely cooled down, prepare the icing.
Take your icing container and heat it up in the microwave for a minute or so (stop after 30 seconds, depending on your microwave it is probably ready and melted)
As you did with your batter, divide it in 3 containers and again mix the same colors to match the cake. Drip the first color over the cake, wait a few minutes till it cools and repeat until all the icing is gone and your cake is covered.
Decorate with the chocolate eyes. I dipped the bottom of each eye on a little bit of icing so when it dries it's attached good to the cake.
Serve and enjoy

Prep Time: 20 minutes                     Cook time  25-35 minutes                            Serves 8-12

  3. Lizbeth, this is fantastic! I spotted it in a huge link party as the only thing worth clicking on, and somehow I just had a feeling it would lead me to you! So many Halloween ideas are just overworked ones - this is so clever and different from everything else and the final effect when sliced on a plate is fabulous!
I'm a fellow Halloween fanatic - have been working on crafts for at least a month now. I like seeing ideas posted early so I can make party plans and gather in advance. Will definitely make this! Thanks!
