Husband's old desk and my first try at painting at all!!! I used home made chalk pain in lilac. Not too shabby huh? what do you guys think!
Curb side rescue. This time I tried with a little sample size of Ce Ce Caldwell's paint and Elmers Glue crackle finish.
Garage Sale Find. After 3 kids ages 14 to 7, my neighbor was ready to let this guy go, and I was ready to play with it.

ReplyDeleteOh Thank You Kathryn for your encouraging words! I sure hope to meet people who share my passion for finding new treasures in everyday junk! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteooooo your aqua crackle finished piece has to be my favorite! I rarely have a chance to hop around in blogland these days, but the kids are in bed early and I somehow stumbled over here! I would love to for you to share any "trash to treasures" you may have over at my party http://www.kammyskorner.com/2013/01/trash-2-treasure-tuesday-link-party.html.
ReplyDeleteWhile it is in no way a "new party", I would love some fresh blood to join us! :)
Thank You so much Kammy for the invitation and for taking part of your "Me" time to come check out my blog! I understand perfectly all about kids in bed, lol..I'm becoming a vampire of sorts because night time is the only time I can get my things done! I will stop by gladly as soon as I rescue something new!

Hi Stacy and Thanks for visiting! That particular project was double the fun, free table find and I got to play with glue all over again!
DeleteLizy,
ReplyDeleteI'm just now checking out your furniture section. Hubby and I rescue furniture as a hobby and to make extra money. I love what you've done with all your pieces. I haven't tried chalk paint yet, but I'm hoping to this year (if it's in the budget). We just can't stand seeing a perfectly good piece of furniture go into the landfill when someone else could use it - and all it needs is a little love to make it usable again.
Hi Helen! So good to see you again! what a great idea you and Sr.Ricardo have of recycling to sell..there is some good money there! I depend mostly on the weather, when it's cold paint won't dry so it's only like a summer hobby! Michigan...what can I say! Thank you very much for coming back to this your little blog. Abrazos, Lizy

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...these pieces are incredible! Especially the dresser, did the bottom two drawers come with it or how were you able to make some to fit? What fun knobs too! We would love to have this skill. We recently purchased a distressed buffet table for our kitchen and will blog about it soon :)
ReplyDeleteThe bottoms drawers came with it...but they were somewhere else at the garage at the time I took the picture! Thank You so much for your kind comments. My little one is loving it too!
